EASY DIRTY RICE

This dinner is super easy! Using breakfast sausage gives it all the flavor it needs. You can add any kinds of veggies you like. Enjoy!

Ingredients
  

  • 3-4 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 large bell pepper
  • 3-4 sticks celery
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1-2 tsp cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Cook the white rice (I use an instant pot - it makes the best rice!)
  • Chop the onion, bell pepper, and celery.
  • In a large deep pan, start browning and chopping the breakfast sausage.
  • Halfway through cooking the sausage, add in all the veggies.
  • Stir and cook until the veggies are almost soft and the sausage is cooked all the way through.
  • Create space in the pan and add the oil and garlic. Stir and cook another minute or two.
  • Add in the cajun seasoning, salt, and broth. Simmer for two minutes.
  • Stir in the white rice. Enjoy!
